I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
